Job Title: Licensing Officer
Location: Rayleigh
Remuneration: Up to 40
Contract Details: Temporary, Full Time
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the provision of an efficient service to our client, and the public on licensing and associated matters.
- Perform a range of technical and professional functions related to our client's current and future licensing functions.
- Contribute to achieving our client's corporate objectives and priorities.
- Contribute to our client's agenda for continuous improvement in service delivery and external performance assessments.
Accountability's:
- Carry out the duties of an authorised officer to enforce licensing conditions, including making visits to premises outside normal office hours.
- Deal with aspects of the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005 and other licensing.
- Ensure proper processing and determination of applications for various licences, permits, registrations, etc.
- Maintain filing related to all licensing associated functions.
- Provide appropriate reports and attend Licensing committee or subcommittees.
- Give evidence before a court arising from prosecutions and appeals related to licensing functions.
Experience:
- Hold the right qualifications/experience within a Licensing Officer role.
- Time management
- Analyse problems and make effective decisions.
- Able to build positive relationships.
- Understanding customer needs and feedback and ensure equality and high professional standards.
