We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Construction to join our forward-thinking secondary school in Rayleigh. As a Teacher of Construction in Rayleigh, you will be responsible for delivering the Construction curriculum across KS3, KS4, and KS5, helping students develop practical skills and a deep understanding of construction in the modern world. Our Construction curriculum prepares students for the world they live in, equipping them with the skills to engage positively with the environment and the built world. Students learn about materials sourcing, product design, and system manufacturing, while using both traditional and digital technologies to improve the world around them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach the Construction curriculum at KS3, KS4, and KS5, helping students develop knowledge in areas such as Construction Technology, Construction in Practice, and Construction and Design
  • Provide opportunities for students to grow in confidence through practical, hands-on learning, using specialist equipment and dedicated teaching environments
  • As a Teacher of construction you will inspire creativity and imagination, allowing students to engage with real-world challenges by developing solutions and producing sketches and plans to meet client briefs
  • Encourage students to explore how construction intersects with other disciplines such as mathematics, science, engineering, geography, and art, ensuring a holistic learning experience
