Our client, an independent firm of chartered accountants based in central Reading, is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and driven Accounts Semi-Senior to join their dynamic team. Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 depending on experience. (Our client have indicated that they could be willing to go higher for the right person!)

The Role: As an Accounts Semi-Senior for our client, you'll be an integral part of their team, reporting to the departmental Manager. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing financial accounts for a diverse range of clients, including Limited companies, Sole Traders, and Partnerships.
  • Handling monthly and quarterly management accounting assignments, including VAT returns.
  • Assisting with larger financial accounting projects.
  • Preparing corporation tax computations and returns.
  • Collaborating and networking with clients, partners, and colleagues to progress assignments and address queries.
  • Establishing strong and successful relationships with their valued clients through effective stakeholder management.
  • Contributing to the team's success by motivating and assisting with the supervision and training of junior team members.

Skills Required: Our client is looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Qualified AAT or qualified by experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a practice role running relevant assignments.
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Experience of working with SME/owner-managed businesses.
  • A team player with good written and verbal communication skills.
