Accounts Senior Position Available in Reading

Are you an experienced ACCA/ACA qualified professional seeking a new challenge? An esteemed independent firm of chartered accountants based in Reading is seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Senior to join their expanding team. The firm specialises in supporting SME owner-managed businesses and FCA regulated organisations across a diverse range of sectors, including professional services, property, building, construction, technology, and retail.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Preparing financial and management accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships across various industries.
  • Handling monthly and quarterly management accounting assignments, including VAT returns.
  • Assisting with larger financial accounting assignments.
  • Communicating and networking with clients, partners, and colleagues to progress assignments and resolve queries.
  • Preparing corporation tax calculations and returns.
  • Establishing strong relationships with clients through effective stakeholder management.
  • Contributing to team success by motivating and assisting with the supervision and training of junior team members.
  • Continuously developing your skillset and knowledge through self-study supported by the firm’s in-house training and development programme.
  • Undertaking ad-hoc project work to assist managers and partners as required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Be:

  • ACCA/ACA qualified.
  • Experienced in UK practice with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on and willing to go the extra mile.
  • Experienced in working with SME/owner-managed businesses.
  • A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
