The Role:
As an Estimator, you'll be working as part of a highly skilled and collaborative team of estimators on a range of exciting and large-scale construction projects. You will play a pivotal role in preparing accurate cost estimates, managing tender processes, and providing crucial support to the project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates for new build and refurbishment projects.
- Work closely with the project teams to ensure all cost elements are understood and controlled.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain pricing information.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide accurate pricing advice.
- Contribute to the development of tender submissions.
- Support senior management in decision-making through cost analysis and reporting.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as an Estimator, ideally with a Tier 1 contractor.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Ability to work on large-scale projects (£200 million in value).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within the team.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
