About the RoleThis is a key role within the European finance team, responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance across multiple EU entities. You will take ownership of month-end close, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and tax compliance while supporting wider business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties will include:
- Managing month-end close processes and financial reporting for multiple EU entities
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and transfer pricing adjustments
- Maintaining and posting prepayments, accruals, and IFRS 9/16 journals
- Handling intercompany reconciliations and foreign exchange revaluations
- Reviewing and reconciling direct and indirect tax accounts, including VAT and corporation tax
- Preparing and presenting monthly reporting packs to key stakeholders
- Supporting statutory audits, regulatory filings, and tax return deliverables
- Coordinating with external bookkeepers for assigned entities
- Assisting in ad-hoc finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
You will be a detail-oriented and organised finance professional with strong Excel skills and a solid understanding of financial controls. A proven track record in EU VAT compliance and reporting is essential, alongside experience in managing month-end processes. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is key, as is the capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with SAP/S4HANA and Cognos is desirable.
