Financial Controller / Manager – Reading (Remote) – £60,000 to £65,000 per annum plus Bonus upto 25%

About the JobAn exciting opportunity for an experienced SME Financial Controller / Manager to take ownership of core financial operations and reporting processes within a high-performing finance function. This role plays a key part in maintaining the accuracy of financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting senior leadership with strategic financial insight.

Duties will include:

  • Overseeing all accounting activities, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, cost accounting and revenue recognition

  • Leading the month-end close process and ensuring timely financial reporting

  • Managing general ledger accuracy in alignment with both group policies and local statutory requirements

  • Coordinating audits and handling tax, VAT, payroll, and ISO internal audit processes

  • Monitoring cash flow, overseeing financial ratios and performance analytics

  • Ensuring adherence to IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 15 and IFRS 16, with responsibility for revenue audits and key compliance submissions

  • Supporting forecast updates, variance analysis, and reporting to group-level stakeholders

  • Providing insight on pipeline analysis, commission reporting, and margin performance against forecast

About the Successful ApplicantYou will hold a recognised accounting qualification (CPA or ACCA) and have a background in audit, combined with experience in financial controller roles. A solid grasp of IFRS reporting is essential, alongside strong systems knowledge, ideally with exposure to NetSuite, BPC and Salesforce. You'll be highly analytical, detail-focused, and confident working under pressure, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Previous experience within a software  or SAAS or Fintech company is a must.
