We have an exciting opportunity available in Berkshire for an Interim Financial Controller to join our client’s team for a short-term assignment. In this role, the chosen candidate will lead and manage the full finance team and will oversee the preparation of annual financial statements and statutory returns.This assignment  is ideal for a qualified, technically skilled finance professional who will take responsibility for all aspects of financial reporting and accounting. This role offers hybrid working.Responsibilities of the Financial Controller will include, but will not be limited to:
  • Lead a team of accountants, including the accounts payable and receivable teams.
  • Provide accurate financial advice on all areas of financial accounting.
  • Contribute to corporate projects and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • Analyse and present data to guide decisions.
  • Regularly seek ways to enhance efficiency, focusing on continuous improvement and best value.
The successful Financial Controller:
  • Fully qualified accountant with extensive post-qualification management experience.
  • Proven public sector background, with strong technical expertise and experience in service improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated team leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
