About the Job:The interim Project Accountant will support the Finance Bursar to transition financial operations to a new VAT framework. This role, focused on discrete projects, includes both in-office and remote work.

Duties will include:

  • Updating budget codes on the finance system to align with new VAT regulations
  • Producing guidance on correct VAT coding for Purchase Orders
  • Preparing VAT reclaims for pre-registration inputs and the Capital Goods Scheme
  • Transferring the fixed asset register from a spreadsheet to the finance system

About the Successful Applicant:The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong understanding of VAT regulations, especially the Capital Goods Scheme. Advanced Excel capabilities will be beneficial, along with knowledge of FRS102 standards. Experience working in education would be beneficial but not essential
