Job Title: Management Accountant
Job Summary:
I am working with a manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented and strategically minded Management Accountant to join their finance team. The Management Accountant will play a pivotal role in providing financial insights, supporting decision-making, and contributing to the organisation's strategic planning. This role involves preparing management reports, analysing financial data, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring effective financial controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare timely and accurate management accounts, including variance analysis, to provide insights into financial performance.
- Develop financial models and conduct profitability analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with departments to prepare budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets, identifying and addressing variances.
- Conduct technical audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal financial controls, processes, and systems.
- Identify risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, providing recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance controls.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of financial and management accounting principles.
- Proven expertise in technical auditing, including risk assessment and internal controls evaluation.
- Proficiency in financial software, audit tools, and ERP systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex financial and audit concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
