Are you working towards your ACA/ACCA qualification and looking for your next challenge? Reed Practice are proud to be working with a firm of accountants who are looking to add an Audit Semi Senior to their team in Reading as the office is currently growing and expanding.

As an Audit Semi-Senior working within the Reading office, you will be assisting the partners and associate partners in the management and delivery of statutory audit and accounts preparation services for their Owner Managed Business Client portfolio. You’ll get stuck into a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, including:

  • Planning audit assignments, identifying key risks, assessing how to test them, assessing and reviewing the budgets through to completing an analytical review
  • Delivering information to clients in a timely manner whilst displaying client and industry knowledge
  • Monitoring stock takes, managing bank letter processes and completing AFF (Assignment Feedback Forms) where appropriate
  • Communicating to management on the progress of workload and planning for efficient completion

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Studying towards their ACA or ACCA qualification and either within their 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of a trainee or apprenticeship contract
  • Experience working in a practice environment working with Privately Owned Businesses or a mixed portfolio
  • Experience planning and completing audits as well as account preparation
  • Experience using an analytical review process
