JobPurpose

  • Preparing year-end financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
  • Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
  • Working closely with the senior management team to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are being met across the portfolio
  • Filing HMRC document on client's behalf
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly accounts to the highest standard
  • Building strong rapport with clients, proactively handling queries and problem solving
  • Complying with internal policies and procedures, including ad-hoc work to support Partners
  • Keeping a close eye on news and regulations that could impact your work or the wider firm
  • Identifying improvements to processes to increase accuracy and efficiency
  • Championing professional development by regularly undertaking training opportunities and skill sharing with the team

Job Requirements

  • ATT, ACCA or ACA qualified, part qualified or equivalent
  • At least 2 years' experience working in UK practice
  • Sound knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102
  • Proven track record across accounting, tax, and financial reporting
  • Resilient and able to manage own workload
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong up-to-date technical accounting knowledge
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • A team player able to bring out the best in others
