Job Title: Management Accountant Reporting LeadLocation: Reading Salary: £65,000 per annum
About the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Management Accountant Reporting Lead to take ownership of all group management reports, including financial performance, Board reports, cash flow reports, and Forecast/Budget books. You will play a crucial role in partnering with the wider FP&A and financial reporting teams, providing key insights and analysis to help drive decision-making and improve business performance.
This role will also see you developing management reports and analysis across the group to implement best practice processes that enhance accountability and deliver improved understanding of the company’s results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide monthly reports to CO-CEOs, CFO, Board, and shareholders, tailored to each audience’s needs.
- Create high-quality reports, analysis, and commentary on business performance.
- Own and manage relationships across teams to understand performance drivers and cost trends, providing insights to support key business decisions.
- Deliver insights on P&L and cash flow performance, helping improve understanding of cost trends and drivers, in collaboration with Business FP&A teams.
- Collaborate with the Financial Reporting team to ensure alignment.
- Support the Head of FP&A on budgeting, forecasting analysis, and ad-hoc requests.
What You Should Bring to the Role:
- Qualified accountant with extensive experience in a management reporting function.
- Proven track record in adding value through new reports, analysis, and high-quality reconciliations.
- Experience leading projects such as forecasting/budgeting books with a focus on automation and improvements.
- Comfortable dealing with large data sets and building a reliable, single source of truth.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel (including financial modelling) and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail while understanding the broader business context.
- Solid communication skills with experience preparing concise presentations and papers for senior executives.
- Proactive and ambitious with a focus on continuous self-improvement.
- Familiarity with SAP and HFM is desirable.
