My client is seeking a SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) Auditor to join their team. In this role, you will ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards by conducting on-site and remote audits. You will play a key part in risk identification, regulation adherence, and driving continuous improvement within their operations.

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, primarily based along the M4 Corridor between Swindon and Reading, with flexibility for remote work and occasional travel to sites across the South East.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform audits on health, safety, environment, and quality processes at project sites.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and present actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to implement and monitor corrective measures.
  • Support the development of SHEQ management systems and promote best practices.
  • Participate in incident investigations to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations, Environmental Compliance, and Quality Auditing Standards.
  • Proven expertise in Risk Assessment and Management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting.
  • Desirable Experience:
  • Previous experience conducting audits in construction or refurbishment projects.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols for fire-resistant and energy-efficient building systems.

Certifications:

Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Quality Management (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO Auditor certifications).

Education:

Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
