Sonic Summary

Our client, a prominent Engineering firm in the Nuclear sector, is seeking a Mechanical Design and Development Engineer to support their growing projects.
The ideal candidate should possess a Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, along with at least 3 years of industry experience in Fusion or Chemical engineering.
Key responsibilities include designing complex mechanical components, producing 3D models/2D drawings, and conducting FEA simulations.

Candidates with experience in the Nuclear industry or familiarity with process modeling and simulation are preferred.

Our client is a well-known Engineering firm in the Nuclear sector. As a result of their continued growth, we are looking for aMechanical Design and Development Engineerto work on a multitude of fast paced projects designing complex mechanical components

This is an exciting and varied design role on a mechanical product range offering significant job satisfaction, stability and progression.

You will be tasked with delivering bespoke solutions and will be actively involved in designing components and assemblies to meet specifications, producing 3D models/2D drawings, simulations, calculations, FEA, technical documentation, bill of materials and costings.

Mechanical Design and Development Engineer:

Masters degree in mechanical engineering (or related subject)
2D + 3D CAD (AutoCAD + SolidWorks)
3+ years Industry experience in Fusion or Chemical engineering (or similar)
FEA: thermo-mechanical and thermo-hydraulics simulations
Familiarity with process modelling and simulation (desired)
Experience with the Nuclear industry (or similar)
