Urban Designer / Masterplanner
A leading built environment consultancy is seeking an Urban Designer / Masterplanner with a passion for creating high-quality, lasting places that foster community and well-being. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of landscape masterplans, urban design projects, design codes, and strategic masterplanning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop masterplans and detailed designs for projects across the South and Home Counties.
- Produce feasibility reports, access statements, and outline master planning documents.
- Provide architectural, regeneration, and urban design services to a diverse client base.
- Review and enhance existing developments, offering strategic design advice.
- Create hand-drawn and digital designs for client presentations.
- Liaise regularly with stakeholders, clients, and project teams.
- Support and mentor junior team members while managing small to mid-scale projects.
Skills & Experience
- Degree or professional qualification in Planning and/or Urban Design.
- Recent and relevant experience in planning and urban design.
- Strong technical ability in planning and urban design work.
- Experience dealing with local planning authorities.
- A keen eye for landscape, architectural design, and master planning.
- Excellent communication skills to bridge client requirements with project teams.
- Ambition, strong organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
