Job Purpose:To install Audio Visual equipment.
Reporting to:Engineering Manager
Key Focus
The main focus of this role is the installation of Audio visual equipment on various commercial sites, Liaising with internal staff as well as the customer to confirm installation requirements prior to commencing the scheduled work. A large part of the role is the ability to working as part of a team.
Key Skills
Working closely with internal staff and PMs to ensure that installations are carried out within the specified time-frame.
Understand job specification documents
Ability to work upon instruction and independently.
Responsible for ensuring quality of installations, including cable runs, terminations, cable management, equipment mounting, labelling, marking up drawings
Creative problem solving on projects in conjunction with other members of the team.
Use of Hand and electric tools with confidence
Manual handling tasks will be required when necessary for moving equipment
Good interpersonal skills
Escalating issues from site through the appropriate channels
Appropriate maintenance and preparation of equipment prior to works
Flexibility required as out of hours work may be necessary
Possible long distances travel
Some overnight stays
Audio visual /electrical experience
