Due to a period of growth we are looking for an experienced PCB Inspector to join our client for a 3-6 month contract.

 

As a PCB Inspector your duties will include: 

  • Visual Inspection: Visually inspect PCBs (printed circuit boards) to ensure they meet quality standards. This involves checking solder joints, components, and overall workmanship.
  • Quality Standards: Ensure that products adhere to the IPC-A-610 standard, which defines acceptability criteria for electronic assemblies. This includes classifying defects based on severity (e.g., class 1, 2, or 3).
  • Documentation: Read and interpret quality policies, procedures, drawings, and other relevant documentation. This helps maintain consistency and compliance during inspections.
  • Receiving Inspection: When materials arrive in the warehouse, inspect them for quality. This includes dimensional checks, surface finish assessment, and verifying assembly quality.
  • Final Inspection: Before products are shipped, perform a final inspection. This ensures that the assembled PCBs meet all quality requirements.
  • Rework: Rework PCBAs to the highest standards. Components down to 0201

 

The successfully PCB Inspector will ideally have the below experience:

  • Must be previously certified to J and IPC standard
  • A history of PCB assembly
  • A history of PCB inspection
  • A knowledge of all common electronic assembly standards
  • Good component knowledge
  • A knowledge of AOI
