Reed Accountancy are currently supporting a Aldermaston based client as they seek a Part Time Bookkeeper to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a vital role that offers the opportunity to grow and take full responsibility for the day-to-day accounts. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a busy environment and is looking for a role that progresses in responsibility and scope, from assisting with basic accounts tasks to handling complex financial operations.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Initially assist with data entry for debtors and creditors on Xero
  • Manage credit control
  • Raise invoices
  • Reconcile accounts.
  • Handle all accounts queries
  • Manage expense claims, and support various accounting operations.
  • After training you will then progress to cash flow, conducting cost analysis, preparing VAT returns, handling PAYE and pension control, and preparing end-of-year accounts for the accountants.

The role starts at 25 hours per week, requiring presence in the offices most days initially, with the potential for flexible, remote work options once proficiency and reliability are established. To be considered for this role you will need previous experience within a similar role and comfortable working independently. Knowledge of payroll is essential.
