Our client is seeking a highly experienced and meticulous bookkeeper to manage financial transactions related to a private family estate. This key role requires a detail-oriented individual with a proven track record in discretely handling financial matters for high-net-worth individuals. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, an understanding of accounting principles, and experience with relevant accounting software. Confidentiality and discretion are paramount.
Responsibilities:
As an Experienced Bookkeeper for a Private Family Office, you will be responsible for interfacing between the estate operational team and central finance, ensuring the quality and accuracy of estate-related financial information. You will manage the accounts payable process, accurately code and capture estate assets, and correspond with vendors on payments. Your role will also involve processing cashbook transactions for the estates, preparing rolling 6-month forecasts for reporting and funding, and performing balance sheet reconciliations for all entities.
- Interface between the estate operational team and central finance
- Be accountable for the quality and accuracy of estate related financial information
- Manage the accounts payable process, including the review of expense accounts
- Process cashbook transactions for the estates, including bank reconciliations at the required frequency
- Prepare rolling 6-month forecasts for reporting and funding
- Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations for all entities, including reconciling clearing accounts
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this Experienced Bookkeeper role will bring a minimum of 10 years' experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within a private client or high-net-worth environment. You will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and experience in completing account reconciliations and preparation of trial balances up to management accounts. Your knowledge of appropriate software and systems will be crucial in this role, along with your experience working with expense management and account software.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within a private client or high-net-worth environment
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Experience in completing account reconciliations and preparation of trial balances up to management accounts
- Knowledge of appropriate software and systems, including Microsoft Office competency
- Experience working with expense management and account software, such as SAP Concur, Sage 300, Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems
