Senior Portfolio Analyst

Role: Senior Portfolio Analyst Salary/Rate: £ 66 per hr (inside IR35) Location: Hybrid - 3+ days per week on site near ReadingContract Duration: 18 months

We are currently looking for a Senior Portfolio Analyst for our government client. This Senior Portfolio Analyst role is hybrid, based between 3+ days per week on site in Aldermaston near Reading, and the remainder of the week working remotely.

The contract for the Senior Portfolio Analyst position is for 18-months with potential to extend, operating inside IR35.

Security Clearance: Developed Vetting ("DV Clearance") + sole UK national

This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role, it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Essential skills/experience required:

• Power BI - minimum of 2 years development experience
• SharePoint - knowledge of SharePoint lists, how to put them together and how to manipulate them
• Strong stakeholder management skill at all levels - internal/external (written and verbal)
• MS package - general knowledge and use
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Previous experience in a Governmental organisation - highly desirable

The role:

• Provides complex analysis of governance, reporting outputs and programmatic data to track key activities, plans, budgets, issues, and risks across all the portfolios.
• Analyses the portfolio to maintain an integrated view of the key risks and issues across the Enterprise and recommends effective actions to mitigate risks and exploit opportunities.
• Analyses and evaluates portfolio data to identify discrepancies, trends, exceptions, and opportunities.
• Highlights interdependencies and conflicts between business as usual and the portfolio and recommends courses of remedial action.
• Leads reporting from programmes and projects and provides analysis, insight, and recommendation of decisions for improved of performance of the portfolio.
• Support the PMO Service Leads to communicate and build commitment to a shared vision and sense of purpose.
• Recognise and track interdependencies across the Enterprise.
• Monitor portfolio risks (threats and opportunities) and escalate as appropriate.
• Manage and engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Using programmatic data develop predictive analytics to optimise project performance.
