The role:
Bluearrow are proud to be working with a prestigious Hotel in Reading.
An enthusiastic Commis Chef required for a busy Hotel in Reading . A natural pro-active chef, able to take responsibility for their own station and supporting the kitchen team as well as working closely with the front of house staff.
Using fresh ingredients cooked healthy with an attention to detail
Applicants should have the relevant qualifications, knowledge of food production methods and proven experience in a similar role and a need to maintain a fully compliant kitchen with all statutory requirements of health and safety and food hygiene.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to work in a fun fast-moving environment and expand their knowledge while gaining excellent experience.

Split Shifts available and the client is looking for 12:00 to 15:00 and 17:00 to 22:00
Key Information:
Immediate start
40hrs per week - working as a shift pattern Tuesday to Sunday 5 days out of 7,
Monday off and Sunday evening off
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and service of fresh meals.
Ensuring high standards of food hygiene are always achieved.
Working as part of a team to ensure a great food offer and service.
Skills Required:
Enthusiasm and willingness to develop your own skills and knowledge, plus those around you.
Flexible and have a willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
Confident, positive, and approachable manner
Able to stay calm when pressure mounts or difficulties arise in service and ability to adapt quickly to change.
Understanding of HACCP, allergens, special diets, portion control, and recipe costings, stock control and wastage
Qualifications/Certifications
Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification
Desired but not necessary
1years Kitchen experience.
