- At least 7-10 years of relevant experience in chemical process engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environmentÂ
- Knowledge of / experienced with thermal processes
- A degree (BEng, MEng, MSc, or PhD) in Chemical Engineering or a related field
- Strong Project Management skills
- Strong knowledge of process design, scale-up, and optimization
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD)
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., COMAH, HSE)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent leadership skills, and ideally some people management experience
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Leading the design, development, and optimisation of chemical processes
- Solving problems and improving engineering processes
- Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments for new and existing projects
- Overseeing the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Managing and mentoring junior engineers and supporting their professional development
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including R&D, production, and quality assurance
- Preparing technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Pushing for constant progression for product development and manufacturing techniquesÂ
