Our client, a leading organisation in scientific innovations, is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Analytical Support Chemist to join their team! This is initially for one year contract.

About the Role:

As an Analytical Support Chemist, you'll work alongside a diverse group of chemists, particle scientists, and engineers. Your primary responsibility will be to provide analytical support and guidance to laboratory scientists. This is an incredible opportunity to enhance your skills and techniques in a laboratory-based research setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical support and guidance on developing and troubleshooting chromatographic methods, focusing on HPLC, GC, and mass spectrometry.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement by adopting new technologies and enhancing facilities and work environments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to elevate the service level offering of the team.

Who We Are Looking For:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of a BSc or equivalent in Chemistry or a related science-based subject.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of LC, GC, and MS, including method development, calibration planning, and quantitative analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Broad IT skills, along with a desire to learn new software solutions and basic programming.
  • A proactive mindset and a willingness to embrace new challenges.
