Are you ready to be part of a friendly, ethical & award-winning sales team? Join this specialist company as an Area Sales Manager covering the Midlands. This company has some really exciting growth plans in place, and you will play a vital part in making it happen! Initially covering customers in the Midlands area there is the chance for the patch to swell and grow across other parts of the UK. You will bring a strong background capital equipment sales and have experience selling machinery. As a Business Development Manager you will be selling into a variety of sectors including oil and gas, automotive, manufacturers, supermarkets and more.

As the Area Sales Manager you will:

  • Be tasked with creating new business revenue through innovative and creative marketing and networking techniques while account managing existing clients.
  • Contact previous or lapsed accounts in order to win new or repeat business.
  • Attend specialist and relevant trade shows where you will head up stands on a regional/national basis 
  • Making and taking sales meetings to introduce your product as well as building a customer portfolio and managing these on-going relationships.
  • Arrange presentations, proposals and negotiations.
  • Achieve and exceed allocated sales targets.
  • Hold a Full UK driving licence.

This would suit a candidate with external / field sales experience selling capital equipment. You may have sold equipment such as Plant, Construction, Powered Access, Commercial Vehicles, Car Wash Machines, Sweepers, Tractors, Agricultural Machinery, Trucks, Industrial Machinery, Cranes, Van-mounted Machinery etc. This is flexible, if you have sold capital equipment in an industrial sector, you may be suitable.

To be successful as the Area Sales Manager:

You will have previously worked in positions such as an Account Manager, Sales Executive, Sales Representative, Field Sales Person, Area Sales Manager, Field Sales Representative, Key Account Manager, Major Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, BDM or related roles.
