Business Development Manager (Commercial Solar)

Are you an accomplished business development manager with extensive experience in the renewables sector looking to join a young company that offers excellent earning potential with uncapped commission?

This company was established just under half a decade ago and since then has its headcount increase exponentially. The company completes high precision civil engineering projects nationwide. Long term, the business are looking to move into the renewables sector, specifically solar power contracts.

In this role the suitable candidate will be expected to have an existing network of clients in the renewable industry. You will need to obtain new contracts for the company to assist in diversifying its portfolio. There will be nationwide travel in the role, where you will need to visit client sites to discuss customer needs and queries.

The Role:

  • Be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, strong relationships and be instrumental in the company's long term growth.
  • Travel nationwide to client's site to present new business opportunities
  • Predominantly, be focused on garnering new business but be involved in maintaining relationships with existing clients
  • Work with large key accounts and have a technical knowledge to understand customer needs and queries
  • Create your own realistic sales targets, to be presented to the Director, and work to exceed them
