Sonic Summary

We are seeking a Category Manager to work in the defence sector with a hybrid working model based in Reading, requiring 70% remote work and 30% client/supplier visits.
The ideal candidate should have a proven Commercial Management background with experience in Category Management and Category Strategies specifically within the Defence, Nuclear, or Central Government sectors.
Key skills include Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management, and Contract Management, along with familiarity in public sector end-to-end procurement processes.
Experience with the Procurement Act 2023 and PCR 2015, as well as NEC 3/4 Contract Management, is desired, along with a CIPS Certification.
The position requires candidates to have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, and the salary is competitive based on experience.
