Office-Based Channel Sales ManagerTwyford (near Reading), Berkshire

Overview of the Role:Our client is seeking an Office-Based Channel Sales Manager to join their successful sales team. While previous internal account management experience is preferred, a strong understanding of excellent customer service and relationship management is essential. The role involves working closely with other key departments within the organisation to ensure the best possible customer experience for their partners. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a successful sales environment, with the potential to progress to an external account management role in the future.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Utilise the company’s CRM system to track and maintain customer contact and opportunity data.

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing partners, serving as the primary contact for inquiries and pricing requests.

  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to drive account revenue.

  • Act as the main point of contact for renewal-related inquiries within the customer base, addressing client concerns and securing renewals.

  • Collaborate with the quotes team to provide accurate renewal status data and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.

  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements to maximise revenue retention.

  • Prepare and deliver regular reports and presentations on account performance, highlighting key metrics and trends.

  • Analyse renewal trends, identify retention risks, and recommend strategies to improve renewal rates.

  • Streamline the renewal process and implement efficiency improvements.

  • Proactively address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise in a timely manner.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in contract management and renewals within a channel business environment.

  • Strong understanding of customer service and relationship management principles.

  • Excellent organisational skills with a focus on efficiency.

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with a customer-focused approach.

  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude, keen to solve problems and improve processes.

  • Team-oriented but able to work independently.

  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving revenue growth and meeting targets.
