This role is to work for a market leader in their specialism, supplying major customers in the UK and internationally, exporting their goods to more than 40 countries around the world. My client requires someone to join their forward-thinking and team-orientated company.This is a full-time, office-based role in Reading, Berkshire.Key Skills Required

  • Export experience Of working with hazardous chemicals would be an advantage (majority of customers are outside the UK)
  • Experience of coordinating a sales team and building relationships with customers
  • Strong effective communicator
  • Ability to continuously improve processes
  • Represent the sales department at management meetings Representing input across the company
  • Highly developed teamwork skills
  • Ability to lead in an environment of constant change
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Enjoy a fast-paced working environment
  • Comfortable working with an ERP system (Sage 200 beneficial but not essential)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Processing sales orders and liaising with customers from placement of order through to delivery
  • Working with our production manager to plan the production schedule based on the lead times for customer orders
  • Organising the logistics for the shipment of finished goods to customers
  • Working with our onsite laboratory packaging samples and arranging shipment to customers
  • Building relationships with customers as most of our business is repeat business
  • Customer liaison and troubleshooting
  • Building relationships with logistics companies and negotiating the most favourable terms
  • Providing sales projection figures for the COO and MD to help with forecasting / production planning
  • One direct report
  • Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer
