As a Child Development Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of primary school children, helping them thrive both academically and emotionally. Working closely with teachers, the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and other staff, you will:
- Provide targeted support to small groups of children, fostering their confidence and independence in learning.
- Assist in the delivery of creative, engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning.
- Help children develop key skills in literacy, numeracy, and emotional regulation.
- Support children with additional needs, ensuring they feel included, valued, and supported.
- Collaborate with the SENCo and teachers to implement individualised strategies that address specific learning challenges.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to promote a thriving school community.
