Our client is a global Operator that is heavily investing this year in low carbon solutions and in their own assets. This person will suit someone that wants to make a difference and looking for the next career challenge.

 

You will work in a team of 5 electrical engineers, supporting the various business units that operate here. This will include working with maintenance, technical and process units to drive safety, improve long term reliability, provide technical knowledge for risk based decisions and respond to break-downs. You will also provide engineering support for projects.

 

 

About you

To be eligible for this role, you must:

 

 

Hold an engineering degree in electrical engineering, or an equivalent subject.

Be, or be working towards being, a Chartered Engineer, as defined by the Engineering Council or equivalent.

Have relevant electrical engineering experience in an operational environment at a COMAH facility, preferably refining or petrochemical.

Be familiar with relevant legislative requirements, particularly the Electricity at Work Regulations, 1989 and DSEAR regulations.

 

Candidates should also have demonstrated experience of:

 

 

Trouble shooting and fault finding electrical equipment

Working with high voltage switchgear

Working with UPS's (Uninterruptable Power Supply)

Working with protection systems

Supporting major maintenance activities e.g. plant shutdowns
