Your Role:
As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems for MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) and Civil works. Your role will be critical in driving projects from cradle to completion, ensuring seamless integration and functioning of systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft solutions that lead to tangible improvements in infrastructure and resource management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical design and system integration for water and wastewater treatment projects.
Conduct feasibility studies, site surveys, detailed design, and tender pricing.
Collaborate closely with civil, process, electrical, ICA, and H&S teams for cross-disciplinary integration.
Manage procurement of mechanical equipment and materials aligning with project specifications. Supervise subcontractors to align work with project objectives and standards.
Monitor project sites regularly to resolve technical challenges and ensure compliance.
Engage with clients and stakeholders, providing consistent support and updates throughout the project.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
Prepare comprehensive project plans, reports, and updates for clients and stakeholders.
Promote continuous improvement through feedback and lessons learned in project delivery.
What Were Looking For
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Chartered Engineer status is a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry, with strong project management skills.
Proficiency in managing project budgets, timelines, and resources.
Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration and providing technical guidance.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office, and familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project is desirable.
A valid Full UK Driving License.
