Position Overview
We’re hiring a Security Field Service Engineer to handle installations, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of fire alarms and emergency lighting systems across the Bristol/M4/M5 corridor.
Role Details:
- Job Title: Security Field Service Engineer
- Location: Reading/M4/M5 Corridor
- Hours: Monday to Friday (Office Hours)
- Salary: £33,000 - £39,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, repair, upgrade, and commissioning of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
- Performing routine service and maintenance of conventional, addressable, and wireless fire alarm systems.
- Servicing of emergency lighting and fire extinguishers.
- Responding to reactive calls for fault-finding and troubleshooting.
- Conducting site visits for quotations and assessments.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 Â years of experience in fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
- Strong knowledge of FIA or NICEIC equivalent compliance standards.
- Proven experience with fire alarm installations (conventional, addressable, and wireless).
- Competence in servicing fire extinguishers and emergency lighting.
- Full, clean UK driving license.
- Excellent troubleshooting and report writing skills.
- Punctual, reliable, and a positive "can-do" attitude.
