Position Overview

We’re hiring a Security Field Service Engineer to handle installations, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of fire alarms and emergency lighting systems across the Bristol/M4/M5 corridor.

Role Details:

  • Job Title: Security Field Service Engineer
  • Location: Reading/M4/M5 Corridor
  • Hours: Monday to Friday (Office Hours)
  • Salary: £33,000 - £39,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation, repair, upgrade, and commissioning of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
  • Performing routine service and maintenance of conventional, addressable, and wireless fire alarm systems.
  • Servicing of emergency lighting and fire extinguishers.
  • Responding to reactive calls for fault-finding and troubleshooting.
  • Conducting site visits for quotations and assessments.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 2  years of experience in fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
  • Strong knowledge of FIA or NICEIC equivalent compliance standards.
  • Proven experience with fire alarm installations (conventional, addressable, and wireless).
  • Competence in servicing fire extinguishers and emergency lighting.
  • Full, clean UK driving license.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and report writing skills.
  • Punctual, reliable, and a positive "can-do" attitude.
