Sonic Summary

We are seeking a Cloud Software (IoT) Engineer for ongoing projects with a client in the Thames-Valley area.
The initial contract is for 3 months with potential extensions, requiring onsite work one day per week in a hybrid setup.
Candidates should have experience in IoT systems integration, cloud architecture, and proficiency in Linux and Python.
Desirable skills include service deployment, WAN networking, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
The position offers a salary of £70,000 per year and requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

We are currently looking for a Cloud Software (IoT) Engineer, to join a client of ours on some ongoing projects. The project is due to go on for an inital 3 months, with possible extensions. Being based in the Thames-Valley, we are looking for someone that is able to work on site 1 day per week, on a Hybrid arrangement.

Requirements:

IoT systems integration, protocols, and services, gRPC and MQTT
Cloud architecture and service implementation
Linux, Python

Desirable additional skills:

Service deployment, IaC, containers, Docker etc
WAN networking and network performance modelling / optimisation
CI/CD pipelines, GIT version control, scripting, automation
Experience and interest in space industry
System modelling, including Matlab / Simulink
AI / ML, particularly for optimisation
