About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Red Hat OpenShift Private Cloud Architect to join our clients team as a Contractor and play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, and managing our private cloud infrastructure built on Red Hat OpenShift. You will be responsible for leading the technical design and implementation of OpenShift within the context of a telecommunications service provider (TSP) environment. This role requires a deep understanding of telco cloud architecture considerations and the ability to integrate OpenShift with existing network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a secure, scalable, and highly available OpenShift private cloud platform for the telecommunications industry.
  • Right sizing hardware and software components required for expanding the private cloud to meet the new business demands
  • Hands on participation in fine tuning and troubleshooting to optimise performance or any other BAU issues
  • Establish and optimise architecture governance for reviewing high and low level designs
  • Identify, track and resolve interoperability issues by coordinating with Application management team and Infrastructure components
  • Coordination with Systems Integrator and OEMs partners to ensure the implementation is carried out on time and to the expected quality
  • Lead and/or participate in the POC exercise to evaluate new features and external integrations by benchmarking viable alternatives
  • Work closely with stakeholders across engineering, operations, and security to define technical strategy and roadmap for the Private Cloud architecture.
  • Translate business requirements into technical architecture blueprints for OpenShift deployments.
  • Configure and manage OpenShift clusters, including security, networking, storage, and resource management.
  • Integrate OpenShift with existing telco network infrastructure and tools.
  • Automate OpenShift deployments and management processes using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
  • Develop and implement best practices for OpenShift governance, operations, and disaster recovery.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Red Hat OpenShift features and capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team on OpenShift architecture and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven and hands on experience in designing and implementing private cloud solutions on Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Strong understanding and hands on experience on containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with telco cloud architecture and its unique requirements (e.g., high availability, low latency).
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent certification a plus.
