  • We are looking for a Principal Commercial Manager to join our team in the defence sector with a hybrid working model based in Reading.
  • The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in Commercial, Procurement, or Category Management, particularly within the public sector.
  • Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in end-to-end procurement, category management, and strategic sourcing, specifically in Defence, Nuclear, or Central Government contexts.
  • A salary of £70,000 to £90,000 is offered for this position, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Additional desirable skills include knowledge of NEC Contracts and experience in site decontamination or waste services.

Principal Commercial Manager / Principal Procurement Manager / Principal Category Manager

We are seeking a Principal Commercial Manager to work in the defence sector.

Location: Hybrid working - Reading

Essential Skills: The ideal candidates will have a proven Commercial / Procurement / Category Management background, with the following skills/ experience:

  • Experience in Public sector End-to-end Procurement experience
  • Experience in Category Management & Category Strategies within the Defence, Nuclear or Central Government.
  • Experience in Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management & Contract Management
  • Experience in using CCS procurement frameworks.
  • Experience in Procurement Act 2023 & PCR 2015
  • MCIPs or equivalent

Desirable:

  • NEC Contract knowledge Option A, C and E or any equivalent contracts
  • Site Decontamination and/or Waste services would be beneficial
