AWE is currently recruiting a Customer Contracts Specialist to join the team to provide support in the operation and implementation of Customer Contracts processes.

Location:RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.

Package: £36,000 to £40,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience).

Let us introduce the role

As the Customer Contracts Specialist, you will input into the management, development and production of Customer Contracts. Engage with programme stakeholders, advising on changes in accordance with our processes. Peer review change control notices prior to submission to Customers and other documents, such as non-disclosure agreements, process, and procedure updates, etc.

Your role will entail:

  • Analysing data in the required business systems in preparation for reports relating to performance.

  • Analysing of data relating to the performance of changes and opportunities.

  • Contributing to bids, change control, costing, and pricing.

  • Regularly reviewing bids with respect to their requirements - including regulatory and legislative matters.

  • Identifying threats to AWE customer contracts and escalating them accordingly.

  • Supporting issue resolution and escalation relating to performance of Customer Contracts.

  • Contributing towards the development and improvement of Customer Contracts processes.

  • Adhering to company policies, procedures, and governance, considering potential risks and issues.

Who are we looking for?

AWE is ideally seeking a Customer Contracts Specialist with relevant business qualifications or equivalent experience and commercial acumen (Sub-Contract and Contract Management exposure). Experience of customer facing negotiation and knowledge of different types of contracts or agreements.

You will have good communication skills and exposure to internal and external stakeholder management and relationship development. Experience of using benchmarking techniques and analysis of financial and business data. Strong organisational skills, and effectiveness to manage priorities in a multitask role delivering to challenging timescales.

Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have experience in some of the following:

  • Experience in a customer facing commercial / customer contracts role.

  • Understanding of Contract Law principles.

  • Good knowledge of the different types of contract models and their uses.

  • Experience of identifying and mitigating risks.

  • Experience using a variety of tools and templates to enable business processes.

  • Basic appreciation of the use of EVM.

Hybrid working is available for this role on an informal, non-contractual basis. Typically 2 days onsite per week or as required to meet the business needs.
