Freelance Senior Planning Engineer - Reading

An amazing opportunity to join an expansion programme for a 1 billion upgrade programme.

Location: - Reading (Hybrid role 3 days on-site, 2 days working from home)
Day rate: - 600 - 650 per day (Depending on experience)
Duration:- 9 months (Outside IR35)

Role Description:
The Resolute Group are working with a key client on a 1 billion infrastructure programme in the Ready region. Looking at a mixture of Building, Roads and associated infrastructure, with the master plan developed on P6.

As the project team grows this role is an immediate requirement to support the master planning function in managing the various packages of works in the programme. Working alongside another 2x experienced Planning professionals, embedded in the client's team, this role is taking on a package of works and managing the P6 programme between the Tier 1 contractors and the master plan.

Day-to-day duties will vary depending on which package of works you are assigned to but could include any of the following:

  • Develop and maintain a robust delivery schedule for work activities with clear milestones and monitoring activities.
  • Work with the delivery team to coordinate work sequences with the total project plan (programme integrated schedule).
  • Perform schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications.
  • Review and analyse the contractor's schedules submitted for acceptance and provide the required recommendation to the project team.
  • Ensuring the master programme is kept updated with any variations or approved changes.


This is a hybrid role working (Typically Mondays and Fridays from home) with 3 days based in the office on-site.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in an Engineering based subject ideally
  • Project Planning experience - Ideally in P6 but must be from larger 20m projects. This could be from Civil Engineering or Construction as long as it's a new build programme that interfaces with various contractors.
