Role Overview - Machinist
Our client is an established manufacturer of precision components used within the aerospace industry, based in the Reading area. They are currently recruiting a Machinist with experience of setting and operation of centre lathes for the manufacture of precision components. The successful candidate will join the manufacturing team on a contract basis and will be required to work on a days-based shift pattern.
Role Responsibilities - Machinist
- Setting and operation of Manual and CNC machinery
- Change/replace tooling
- Follow engineering drawings/ Work to specifications
- Self inspection of manufactured components
- Use a range of precision gauges
- Carry out bench work when required
- Work to the business needs when required
Experience and Qualifications - Machinist
- Relevant engineering based apprenticeship (beneficial)
- Experience of Manual/Conventional and CNC Machining
- Experience within a precision engineering environment
- Strong team ethic
