Fawkes and Reece are hiring x4 Project Control Analysts for a January Start.

Project Control Analyst - South Region x4

Support the Planner, Reporting Analyst and Leader Planner in their roles to provide a quality service to the delivery team with all planning activities. Undertake analysis of planning variances identified during site visits, and assessment of the contractor performance against planned work to provide the lead planner and project manager with information that will aid recommendations to improve delivery performance. Support the activities for sanction, critical path and total float analysis, earned value management techniques, and leading indicators for risk mitigation to ensure the successful delivery to time, and within allowances.

Duties:

  • Engage with key team members to establish timelines for production of quality assured and cost loaded, out-turned deliverable programmes for sanction, that meet the capital plan year on year
  • Support the lead planner in assessment of critical path analysis, float calculations and schedule risk mitigation
  • Support the contracts team to consistently evaluate tender returns within procurement guidelines
  • Complete monthly contractor programme analysis including analysis of run rates, schedule risks and mitigation measures
  • Carry out client programme development for early phase projects
  • During delivery support the planning engineer to certify that all subsequent contractor programmes are compliant to the NEC and works information
  • Carry out initial assessments of early warnings or change events either from our supply chain or Project Manager to validate variances from Key Dates
  • Assess and validate supply chain progress during design and attend site during delivery to confirm construction progress

Candidate requirements:

  • Working knowledge of P6 or equivalent planning tool
  • Appreciation of WBS and cost loading of programmes
  • Skilled capability to assess change and impact assessment on time risk allowance
  • Advanced understanding of the key NEC clauses for Planning and Early Warning
