We are working with Reading Borough Council to recruit a Contact Supervisor

The Duties of the role include :

* To supervise contact ("family time") for children, parents and connected persons.

* Ensure that all aspects of the Health & Safety Policies and Procedures are adhered to during each contact session.

* Be responsible for identifying and managing all risks associated with the job, escalating any issues of concern to the Assistant Team Manager / Team Manager.

* Maintain accurate, comprehensive and up to date records of supervised contact undertaken with the family. To record on case files data systems e.g. Mosaic.

To maintain standards of service in line with Reading/ BFfC's policies and procedures.

* To develop and maintain professional working relationships with staff from internal and external agencies/organisations.

* Actively participate in supervision with line manager - to keep records accordingly.

* A commitment to inclusive practice & confidence to embed anti discriminatory practice into daily work.

* To undertake such personal training as may be deemed necessary to meet the duties and responsibilities of the post.

* Maintain and update case notes and other records and write reports as necessary.

* When working with families, to recognise, monitor and assess risk, and escalate risk to supervisors in a timely manner to plan mitigating action.

Reading will consider candidates with a background in Family Support or nursery education setting alongside experienced Contact Supervisor experience
