Project Management Officer

Our client is embarking on an ambitious new build program and seeks a skilled Project Management Officer to provide crucial support during a period of reduced capacity. This role involves managing multiple capital projects simultaneously, with project values reaching several million pounds.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage up to five capital projects or programmes concurrently, requiring effective prioritisation and project management skills.
  • Liaise with contractors and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of new build projects.
  • Coordinate community consultation and engagement activities, including the development of publicity and public consultation materials.
  • Maintain accurate project records and information, including the formulation of timely highlight reports.
  • Manage financial aspects of the projects, ensuring timely payment of invoices and maintaining accurate financial records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 or higher.
  • Project Management Qualification, e.g., Prince 2 Foundation Stage.
  • Proficient in IT, including the design and use of spreadsheets, databases, project management tools, and MS Office Professional.
  • Significant experience in a Project Management environment, particularly managing building and related projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail.
  • Adaptability and a drive for continuous improvement.
