Reed Accountancy Reading are currently partnered with a growing Commercial Finance company seeking a Credit Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is open to someone with previous Credit Control experience, or perhaps someone looking to make a move from a customer focussed role into Credit and start a new career.

Working in a mixed of both Credit Control as well as cash postings and reconciliations, this is a genuinely fantastic opportunity to work in a varied role and be an integral part of the team. You will be proactively managing your ledger and ensuring client relationships are maintained over the phone and via email.

Duties for this role will include;

  • Responsible for the posting of cash
  • Manage a portfolio of full-service clients
  • Chase outstanding debts by telephone, email, and letter
  • Performing full chase on each client each month
  • Verifying debts on the system when chasing
  • Agreeing repayment plans where appropriate
  • Recommending accounts for solicitors where appropriate
  • Dealing with customer collections within the system
  • Setting up and maintaining client files for credit control purposes
  • Communicate regularly with clients and provide written updates if issues arise
  • Ensure client queries are communicated and dealt with effectively to all parties
  • To perform monthly Sales Ledger Reviews and ensure these are completed within agreed timescales

The role is working full time in the office during training before moving to a hybrid model of 4 days in the office and 1 from home. The business operates working hours of 9am to 5pm but does offer flex around start/finish times.
