An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Collections Officer within the Asset Finance / Leasing division of a leading international specialist bank.

The successful candidate will be solutions driven and comfortable working in a fast paced environment dealing with a high volume of calls, and corresponding with customers in an efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Making & taking calls to & from customers to establish reasons for non-payment
  • Offering payment solutions to customers in order to restore non-paying customers to good book
  • Negotiate agreeable repayment terms in accordance with FCA principals of TCF
  • Quickly identify vulnerable individuals and escalate these cases with our special support team
  • Quickly identifying cases that require escalation to our Insolvencies team where appropriate

Key Requirements:

  • A confident communicator with strong verbal communication skills
  • Confident and resilient due to high volumes
  • Capable of thinking laterally and proactively
  • Persuasive, persistent and self-motivated
  • Hard working and a highly collaborative to help the team to achieve team targets
  • Professional with excellent customer care skills, ensuring the client is the core focus
  • Adaptable to different clients
  • Able to learn quickly and to work to deadlines
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Understanding of lease and asset finance
  • Knowledge of Consumer Credit Act and other regulatory requirements
  • AML /KYC requirements
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to negotiate the best outcome and make decisions
  • Ability to identify build and maintain strong relationships and communicate with key interfaces
