Assistant Store Manager

Here at Every Step Recruitment, Sales & Marketing, we are actively recruiting for an experienced Assistant Store Manager in Reading. This is a full-time, permanent position where you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the store, overseeing a small team and providing the highest level of customer service. Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Saturday (excl Wednesdays) Please note these hours may flex up in accordance with business needsYour day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Acting as an inspirational role model and supporting the Store Manager to monitor and manage all store areas and team members in the KPI achievement with a tireless drive to deliver excellent customer service
• Full responsibility of all store areas and team members in the absence of the Store Manager and any operational tasks connected with this
• Support the Store Manager in the recruiting process, staff planning and performance measurement
• Responsible for driving the team to achieve the store’s performance targets and KPIs
• Deliver exceptional customer service to build a loyal customer base
• Drive the use of all available tools and ensure procedures are executed and policies followed

Skills and attributes required:

• Previous experience in a similar management role ideally within a fashion retail environment
• Exceptional customer service
• Excellent leadership and people management skills to lead, motivate, train and develop the team through active management
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the business
• Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and brand knowledge
• Excellent communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal
