Reading's local SEN Specialist schools is looking to appoint their latest SEN Teaching Assistant, they have an expanding classrooms from September 2024. It will be a challenging, yet rewarding role - supporting children from ages 4 - 16 years old.

This Reading school accommodates for a range of pupils with SEND who need 1:1 support. Many of the school children are Autistic so understanding of working with children with Autism is vital.

The ASD Teaching Assistant role:

  • Support students with SEN on a day-to-day basis (ASD, PMLD, SLD, SP&L and more)
  • Opportunities with SEN Reading students (KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4) ages.
  • Liaising with Class Teachers and the SENDCO regarding progress of children
  • Provide a stimulating and safe learning environment for children.
