We are excited to work with a dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Berkshire, seeking a passionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to join them in January 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to support young people in achieving their full potential and make a meaningful impact in education. Part/Full time roles can be discussed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons by providing practical and organizational support.
  • Student Assistance: Work closely with students who require extra help, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or English as an Additional Language (EAL). This may involve one-on-one mentoring or small group support.
  • Resource Preparation: Help prepare teaching materials and learning resources to support lesson delivery.
  • Behavior Support: Assist with behavior management, ensuring a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Individualized Support: Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and provide tailored interventions for students with specific needs.
  • Supervision: Support students during non-classroom activities, including lunch, break times, and school outings.
  • Communication: Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to monitor and report on students' progress and wellbeing.
Requirements:
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their educational journey.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and parents effectively.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude in a dynamic school environment.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role (desirable but not essential).
  • Knowledge or experience working with SEN students is an advantage.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
