ML61- Associate Electrical Design Engineer.Salary: £60,000 - £70,000.Location: Reading.Overview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Associate Electrical Design Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead MEP engineering teams in delivering a range of project work.
- Manage risk within MEP engineering projects, demonstrating strong knowledge of MEP scope, appointments, and commercial acumen.
- Act as the lead engineer in a design team, responsible for electrical building services concept and detailed design.
- Supervise and monitor the work of others in this function.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers.
- Produce reports, drawings, and specifications aligned with various RIBA design stages.
- Utilize specialist CAD and BIM (Revit) software to design required systems.
- Liaise closely with structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors from both in-house and external project teams.
- Attend a range of project group and technical meetings.
- Ensure building systems' design and maintenance comply with legislative and health & safety requirements.
Skills and qualifications:
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability to foster long-term productive working relationships.
- Significant experience in electrical building services design from a consultancy or contractor background.
- Accredited relevant degree or higher educational qualification (HNC/HND) in an applicable discipline.
- Working towards or achieved IEng or CEng status.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a close-knit team.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to high standards of client care.
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000.Location: Reading.
