Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Reading
Salary: Up to 43,000 per annum + Benefits
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), flexible working hours between 7:30am - 6:00pm
On-Call: 1 in 5 call outs, 115 standby fee (1,200 extra per year)
Overtime: Available

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Electrical Engineer for astatic healthcare site in Reading. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, hands-on engineer with strong leadership abilities to oversee a team of engineers and subcontractors while ensuring smooth operation of all electrical maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment across the healthcare site.
Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of engineers and subcontractors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Take responsibility for electrical installations, fault finding, repairs, and general maintenance tasks.
Conduct periodic inspections and tests to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Respond to emergency callouts, providing a swift and efficient resolution of electrical issues.
Ensure that maintenance records are kept up to date and in line with statutory regulations.
Liaise with other departments and contractors as required to ensure all aspects of electrical maintenance are covered.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

Level 3 Electrical Installations Qualification (or equivalent).
18th Edition
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a healthcare or similar critical environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing engineers and subcontractors.
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.

Salary: Up to 43,000 per annum, depending on experience.
